I have the build together except for what items to use. Any help would be appreciated. If your are posting items from collectors, please tell me where the collector is.

Currently, I am using a purple staff that requires 12 death magic. +10 energy and I think halves casting time of curses.

Does 11-22 dark damage I think.

It works for me.

You should go for +energy on 1 or 2 items. Fast recharge or fast cast on death magic (both if you can).

If you can afford them (or can farm them yourself), Bortak's Wand/Cesta or Ghial's Staff are decent. If you like the stats but don't have the money, Ghial's can be replicated with a collector's staff plus mods; guildwiki has info on the collector and his/her location & required trade items. I usually use a death wand with +15/-1/20% and a death focus with 20/20. I've had them forever so I don't remember the crafter/collector, but a simple search on wiki will give you all the relevant info on where to get one.

+30 +1 death magic offhand from Maguuma Stade (on top of my head, the city sputh henge of denravi) OR Bortak's Bone Cesta

And the 20/20 Wand that can be gotten from the Weapon trader in Leviathan pits.

That's the same as a perfect 20/20 staff with +1 death magic and 30 health. with collectors stuff.

If you got the bortak's bone cesta it's even better.

Bazzr's Wail and Bortaks Bone Cesta is the best combo in my opinion.

You could also go with a 20/20 wand and Konrru's Fervor for the same effect.

The +1/+30 in Maguuma isnt max energy. You're better off crafting one outside Kaineng Center if you want that because it gives max energy.

Would Bazzr's Wail and Konrru's Fervor be to much as far as the -1 regen on each? That would be your max energy if you used those 2. Also I am not seeing where or who you get Bortaks from. And this character is from factions, so I don't plan on going backwards to get things.

You could use both Bazzr's and Konrru's depending on where you plan to use it. You'll need good points in Soulreaping and a lot of stuff dying for it to work, but when it does work you'll hardly have problems. Aspenwood would be a good place.

Bortak Bonesmelter is a boss in Prophecies, specifically on the Orozar quest of Sorrow's Furnace. His offhand has these stats:

+12 energy
+1 Death Magic (20%)
Fast Cast on Death Magic (20%)

Even if you don't have Prophecies, you can buy one in Kaineng. They are expensive however, since it's one of, if not THE top MM offhand.

Myself I use a 20/20 Wand and Focus set bought from the weapon crafter at Vasburg Armory. Switched from a Bortak's set to try out having more consistent fast cast and skill recharge and haven't gone back. Really helps you get an army up and running in a much quicker time and priceless when you are competing with other minion raising foes such as Stone Kirins. Also it was only 10k and materials out of the pocket compared to the 150k (couple months ago, now I think only 100k at most for the set) for the bortak's set.

PS the only time you really need that extra energy is if you are running both Bone Fiends and Vampiric Horrors. Soul reaping is generally enough energy for you to support running one type of 25 energy minions. After casting 2 that's already 50 energy gone and if things aren't dying then you're left there twiddling your thumbs while you hope your two minions last long enough for you to finish raising your army.

I use for PvE:
HCT = halved casting time
HSR = halved skill recharge

Set1
Spiral bone wand or something similar from Sheco the crafter

Bleached skull:
20% HCT death
20% HSR death

This is what I use to start my army with. I have 4 pips of regen but only 20%HCT. I'm thinking of getting the wayward wand to get double 20% HSR and +5^50energy. But a 20/20 wand would work too I guess... I just want to have a large energy pool though.

I'm usually on this set after I have an army up or when a lot of stuff is getting killed. I'll have a larger energy pool/buffer and the dual HSR allows me to refresh minions faster. Yeah I give up 1 pip of energy for 15 more energy. WHo cares about energyregen when soulreaping keeps you at max anyway?

This gives +30 energy on top of the +12 I get from the offhand.
I use this on the rare occasions where I need to fire off a few heals or raise that extra minion I want.
I usually swap to the first set after that so I get 4 pips of energy.

Rarely, very very rarely, I use this set as a main minionfactory set. Only when a crapload of things are getting killed.

I personally like using Greens and Collector Items to do the best thing I can do.

Look around on Guildwiki, see what collectors are where. in Cantha, there are tons of good collectors with good items. Lots of good items really that aren't terribly hard to find and access.

Hunt around a bit, espeically if you already have a character through, makes it alot easier for you to just bounce around, buy the items, attach to Necromancer and enjoy.

For death magic I thought the Wayward Wand was the only +5en while health over 50% wand?

Guildwiki lists all others as +5en while health below 50%.

Can someone confirm or deny this, and if you can get +5en > 50% from somewhere other than the end?

There's a crafter in Bukduk Byway you can buy wand that gives you +5en while health >50%, and halves casting times 20% of death.

i use a truncheon, 1/2 cast death 19%,+5 energy>50, req 10 death and for my off hand, the collectors idol from outside dunes of despair,+12 energy,+15 energy,-1 energy regen,+30 health. god bless soul reaping. (62 energy btw)

Ah I think the Wayward Wand is only one that is Halves Skill Recharge (20%) + 5^50?

The one in Bukdek is Halves Casting Time. I'm more interested in quick recharge... though might go for the 20/20 Vasburg set. Well, already got 20/20 offhand from collector outside Droks, so just the wand to decide on.

+1 Death (20%), +30hp is collector just outside Durheim Archives - 5 warden horns required fyi.

I picked up Konrru's Fervor,the collectors bleached skulls from Senjis Corner and Zin Ku. Just need the wand now. I currently use a truncheon with +13 energy/-1, not max.
